Nearshoring companies well prepared for remote work

Covid-19 has hit almost all industries around the world. Those companies who can still operate, most probably have to work from home offices.

While this is a significant change for most of us, nearshoring companies like Netcorp, were probably most prepared for this.

We have practiced offering remote services to our clients for the last 10 years, and all of our team members have individual remote working experiences. We had already prepared and configured a set of tools and procedures for remote working.

On the 16th of March, around 250 of our developers started to work from home offices. This is the first time when all our people work from remote locations. However, the first weeks have shown that our projects run smoothly, and there are not challenges in availability or efficiency in our work.

IT market change

COVID-19 will continue to shake our industry, and it is hard to tell what will exactly happen in the IT market. Most probably, investments will be reduced, many new projects put on hold, many companies cannot afford to invest a lot into IT solutions.

However, there will most certainly be companies who want to use this situation to their advantage. They will continue to improve their products to have a better competitive edge once this madness is over.

We have already received some interest from companies who are forced to reduce their development cost but cannot stop their development projects.
